Job description

We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our team at the Fountain Tire Distribution Center in Acheson, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate order picking, trailer receiving, inventory tracking, and safely moving stock across the warehouse compound. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong material-handling skills, and holds valid Fall Protection and Fire Watch certifications.

Responsibilities
Order Picking: Accurately select orders and package products while consistently meeting site KPI targets.

Receiving & Putaway: Receive incoming trailers by sorting, stacking, and putting away items according to company standards.

Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload delivery trucks to ensure tight delivery deadlines and customer commitments are met.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate Reach Trucks, Stand-up Forklifts, and Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) throughout the distribution center.

Inventory Control: Maintain active knowledge of inventory locations, model numbers, and handling procedures; assist with documentation and routine counts.

Team Collaboration: Work both independently and alongside team members to proactively increase overall warehouse efficiency and safety.

Qualifications
Mandatory Certifications: Valid Fall Protection and Fire Watch tickets.

Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle is required (the Acheson site is not accessible via public transit).

Physical Capabilities: Ability to consistently lift up to 80 lbs on a regular basis without assistance.

Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating Reach Trucks, Stand-up Forklifts, or Cherry Pickers/Order Pickers.

Technical & Soft Skills: Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows programs; excellent written and verbal communication.

Work Ethic: Strong ability to self-manage, work independently with minimal supervision, and maintain high safety standards.
