We’re looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales and Business Development to lead our Sales team, responsible for inFact research subscriptions, executive councils, as well as our subscriber account management. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving revenue growth and scaling our sales practice.

They bring extensive sales leadership experience, demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. We are a virtual organization and as a remote worker you must be comfortable and able to work 100 per cent of the time from a home office in Canada. To be successful as a remote worker you need to have a self-starter attitude, possess strong organizational and time management skills and be a proactive communicator. Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working / business hours is a requirement of this role.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets across subscription and council sales.
- Team Leadership : Manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and account management team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Grow and Scale Subscriptions through Acquisition : Drive the expansion of our subscription-based offerings by optimizing sales processes, identifying new market opportunities, and leveraging technology to scale acquisition effectively.
- Account Management Oversight : Ensure exceptional service and retention rates by guiding the account management team to nurture and grow existing client relationships.
- Performance Metrics : Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance, utilizing KPIs to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, digital, research and product development teams to align sales strategies with organizational objectives.

The salary for this position ranges from $139,570 to $188,830 annually for candidates from any Canadian province or territory. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, specific skillsets, as well as market and business considerations.
