What’s the Opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Business Continuity Management, is a hands-on leader and plays a critical role in strengthening RBC’s operational resilience to transform how Business Continuity Risk is managed. You are responsible for leading a team and executing Personal Banking and Commercial Banking Canada’s Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) program requirements, working to ensure business impact analysis, business continuity plans and strategies can withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptive events in line with OSFI’s E-21 Guideline : Operational Risk and Resilience and other related guidelines.

What will you do?

• Provide BCRM subject matter expertise, working directly with Business Units to ensure adherence to the BCRM Enterprise policy and standards
• Ensure the timely completion of robust Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plans; assisting in documenting recovery strategies, dependencies and workarounds
• Execute BIA's to support complex teams or volumes; as required
• Design effective reporting to monitor business unit recovery time and point objectives, dependencies, potential vulnerabilities, and single points of failure
• Support testing that validate plans, assumptions and workarounds annually
• Support the Director to prepare reporting, compile audit materials and regulatory responses
• Support the design and delivery of training content to ensure proper understanding of Business Continuity risk, roles and responsibilities across both segments
• Ensure regulatory requirements and expectations are complied with
