This position is a 14‑month contract providing coverage during a planned parental leave. The successful candidate will lead the Talent Acquisition function throughout this period, ensuring continuity of strategy, operations and team leadership.

What you’ll be doing:
- Champion and model Homewood Health’s mission, values and strategic goals with staff and external partners
- Lead enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational growth, workforce planning and business priorities
- Oversee the Talent Acquisition team, providing leadership, coaching and development to build a high-performing and engaged function
- Develop and drive the employment brand and sourcing strategies that attract top-tier talent across clinical and corporate functions
- Ensure execution of full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer negotiation, while optimizing time-to-fill and candidate experience
- Build scalable, cost-effective recruitment processes that deliver the right talent, at the right time, in the right roles
- Leverage data and analytics to monitor recruitment performance, forecast hiring needs and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain and enhance the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy and optimal workflows
- Oversee job requisition processes and approvals and ensure offer packages are reviewed and finalized in alignment with policy
- Advance organizational diversity, equity and inclusion through targeted sourcing strategies, equitable hiring practices and fostering an inclusive and supportive candidate experience and work environment
- Build innovative sourcing approaches through social media, post-secondary partnerships and community outreach
- Conduct labour market and talent pool research to inform strategic sourcing and workforce decisions
- Cultivate strong relationships with third-party vendors, recruitment partners, and others to support recruitment goals
- Oversee the full administration of international hiring processes, including LMIAs and compliance with the Temporary Foreign Worker Program
- Stay current on immigration and labour regulations impacting recruitment and respond to related queries
- Provide regular reporting to the Executive and Senior Management Teams on hiring activity, performance metrics and workforce trends
- Manage platforms for background checks, employment screening and immigration program accounts (, TPS, Service Canada Job Bank, Employer Portal)
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor degree or advanced diploma in Business, HR, Marketing or Communications; CPHR/CHRL preferred
- 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3-5 years leading a talent acquisition team
- Proven success in designing and executing full-cycle talent acquisition strategies and sourcing initiatives, including metrics and ATS implementation
- Experience recruiting in dynamic, unionized and healthcare or clinical environments
- Broad recruitment expertise across roles (leadership, clinical, professional, technical, hourly) and regions (national/international)
- Strong understanding of talent branding, social media recruitment and job market trends
- Skilled in budgeting, reporting and leveraging HR technology and Microsoft Office
- Background in human resources, talent management or business partner roles is an asset
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership, change management and project management skills
- Exceptional communication, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills; French is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian labour laws and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, inspire accountability, drive innovation and thrive in ambiguity
- Strong business acumen, analytical and detail oriented
