About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Sr. Director of the Integrated Acute & Episodic Care Network, and in collaboration with the Network Leadership Teams (medical co-lead, other leadership roles), the Senior Analyst, Policy and Planning participates in the development of the strategic direction of the Clinical Network by providing leadership in the areas of policy development, planning and accountability, provincial standards, best and promising practices, and more broadly, evidence-based decision making. The Senior Analyst provides strategic analysis and advice on issues impacting the clinical service area and / or population across the lifespan. The Senior Analyst advises and leads the advancement of defined priority areas according to the Network’s goals and objectives and the identified strategic directions of Nova Scotia Health. This involves building new and fostering existing partnerships that support the achievement of priorities.
Working closely with the Network Co-leaders, the Senior Analyst assists in designing a provincial integrated plan for the Service or Population-based Network and in developing strategic and operational plans that support excellence in care delivery, improvement in health outcomes, and achievement of standards of care established by Nova Scotia Health, the Department of Health and Wellness and other relevant bodies. The Senior Analyst also brings a strong background in quality improvement to facilitate the development of a quality program for the Network(s) and supports continuous improvement to advance a vision of excellence within the Clinical Network.
