Job Title : JWE Java Developer Job Type : 2 to 3-week contract (with possibility of extension to 3 to 6 months if the resource has Keycloak experience) Location : Remote, must be able to work EST and be legally entitled to Our client is seeking a skilled JWE Java Developer to join an established development team in the banking sector where a long-term project is in its final stages. The ideal JWE Java Developer will have extensive experience in Java development, particularly with JWE (JSON Web Encryption) and JWS (JSON Web Signature). This role involves working on critical projects related to open banking and digital initiatives, focusing on payload encryption and token-based security. Initially, this may be a short-term contract term for only a few weeks, however, a separate project is in the early stages, and should the successful candidate have experience with Keycloak, they could extend for 3-6 months to assist with ongoing development, already in flight. Integrate JWE and JWS into our existing Java-based banking system. Collaborate with the team to build middleware applications for API request and response encryption. Provide technical expertise and support for ongoing projects, including open banking and digital initiatives. Participate in regular meetings and updates to ensure project alignment and progress. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development. Familiarity with token-based security and encryption techniques. Experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus but not required. Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies. Java certification is a plus.
