YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Microbiology Lab Technician. Your mission will be to :
- Maintain the equipment files for the media preparation room and the records (service reports, calibration records, etc.) filed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all the required information for the preparation via Autoclave or Masterclave for each batch of reagent and / or media is recorded on the designated Reagent Preparation sheet.
- Participate actively in the daily operation in the media preparation room.
- Receive and label materials in use properly in the media preparation room and follow FIFO rules when putting away and using materials and media.
- Prepare media and reagents by following the instructions as reflected in the relevant RF and procedure and the volumes indicated by the Analyst 2 and Team Lead.
- Adhere to the company’s policy for health and safety.
- Report accidents and incidents to the Team Lead, Lab Supervisor immediately.
- Strictly follow Biosafety / Biosecurity guidelines as reflected in CAM WI-00740 in the media preparation area.
- Communicate equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to the Team Lead and the Lab Supervisor.
- Participate actively in the training provided in the media preparation room.
- Help to train new staff in the operation of equipment and preparation of media as needed.
- Keep the personal training profile up to date.
- Perform other tasks as indicated by the Lab Supervisor.
