ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Analyst, IT Asset Strategy & Analytics role extends this leadership to the asset management space within IT Service Management. This role actively manages IT hardware and software assets within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses and / or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The individual will assist in forming sustainment strategies for the IT infrastructure and application groups, to optimize technology spend across the organization. This role will also develop and make recommendations to improve procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. The Sr. Analyst, IT Asset Strategy & Analytics role will report to the Team Lead, Service Management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operate the IT asset management program and drive continuous improvement to align with business needs and goals.

Develop and refine key policies, standards, and guidelines for the program and drive awareness within IT and across the enterprise as needed.

Work with Service Management leadership to build, articulate, and execute strategy in the space for both process and technology initiatives.

Support operations with refined processes and data for high performance service delivery and visibility across IT, identifying breaches of the ITAM policy, and tracking remedial action.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners.

Gather data on and provide analysis of all activities that have an impact on the value, cost, and risk of digital technology asset life cycles.

Provide IT leadership with data to asset investment strategies, business cases, and contract negotiations.

Support capital projects and optimization efforts with strategic asset lifecycle management across IT.

Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure consistent and accurate onboarding and offboarding of business applications.

Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis including financial, licensing, warranty, and maintenance / support contract information to support continuous application rationalization activities across the enterprise.

Investigate equipment or software under consideration to determine ROI and total cost of ownership throughout product lifecycle.

Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and / or asset optimization.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration.

A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT asset management, utilizing a common IT service management framework such as ITILv4 or COBIT 5.

Must be certified in one or more IAITAM streams.

Highly proficient in the Microsoft M365 office suite.

Must have demonstrated experience leveraging the ServiceNow platform to govern and enhance IT asset management.
