Financial reporting experience under IFRS. Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word). Oil and gas industry experience is strongly preferred. Previous experience with SAP, Group Reporting and Excel is highly desired.
Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Financial Analyst, Fixed Asset Accounting to their Finance team for an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension / conversion. This role is hybrid, 3-4 days in office in downtown Calgary.
Responsibilities Include :
- Perform accounting and reporting activities on a recurring basis to support an accurate and timely period-end close, including but not limit to :
- Manage fixed assets by keeping track of all acquisitions, disposals, transfer of assets and maintaining the fixed asset subledger
- Prepare working papers to support E&E and PP&E reporting
- Perform month-end settlement and DDA run in SAP
- Post accruals and journal entries as required
- Complete reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and analysis.
- Support overall compliance with SOX processes and controls.
