Job description

Are you an organized and motivated professional who enjoys leading projects, solving problems, and helping people rebuild after unexpected events? Do you take pride in your communication skills and attention to detail? If that sounds like you, our Project Manager (internally known as Project Manager I) role could be the opportunity to grow your career! You'll manage property restoration projects from initial assessment to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while building strong relationships with clients and adjusters.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager, you are at the center of every restoration project, turning plans into action and challenges into progress. You'll assess losses, define project scopes, and prepare accurate estimates that set the stage for success. You'll coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources to keep work moving efficiently while maintaining top-quality standards. You'll meet with homeowners, adjusters, and insurers to communicate updates, manage expectations, and build lasting relationships based on trust. You'll keep a close eye on schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure every detail aligns with company standards and industry best practices. You'll take initiative, solve problems in real time, and ensure every project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role combines office organization with hands-on field leadership, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact and help clients get their lives back on track.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Supervisor or in a related restoration or construction role
  • College diploma or an equivalent mix of education, professional training, and relevant experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of restoration processes, building codes, and health and safety practices
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret scopes, plans, and estimates
  • Experience with Xactimate or estimating software preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and mobile applications
  • IICRC or equivalent certifications an asset; ability to obtain WRT certification required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)

Who We Are

At First Onsite, the work you do every day makes a real impact. You'll help communities rebuild and families recover after unexpected events. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching because we believe in taking care of our people. You'll have opportunities to learn, grow, and build a lasting career across Canada in a culture that values care, collaboration, and doing the right thing.
