Job Title : General Labor
Location : Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (ON SITE)
Pay range : $14-15 / hour on W2
Job Type : Contract Role
Shift : M-F 8AM – 5PM
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will support the Print Technicians in various tasks including loading / unloading digital print equipment, assisting with print job preparations, and performing tasks like folding, cutting, and binding materials. The position also involves shipping and receiving duties, and the successful candidate will be required to perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities :
Load and unload digital print equipment and materials.
Assist Print Technicians in preparing printed materials by folding, cutting, and binding.
Handle shipping and receiving duties, including the organization of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Operate basic tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as required.
Follow safety protocols and company policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must wear steel-toed shoes for safety.
Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or general labour role is an asset but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Work Environment :
This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a warehouse or production setting.
The role may require occasional overtime depending on the workload.
