Job Summary : The TSA provides technical consultation and support for the University and determines technology requirements that support organizational goals. This position is responsible for the gathering, analysis, recommendation and implementation of technology requirements. Additionally, responsible for desk side support for employees and teaching labs, as well as research labs on a case by case basis.

Responsibilities / accountabilities :

IT Requirements Gathering & Procurement

• Meet with faculty, staff and department leads to gather and assess hardware / software needs
• Conduct research and analysis to ensure tech compatibility with university systems
• Provide expertise to Procurement teams, evaluate software / hardware tools, and communicate with vendors to resolve complex technical issues

Technology Education, Troubleshooting and Installation

Teaching Lab Set up

Faculty and staff laptop refresh

Daily technical operations

Student support and special projects
