Description
The Agile Coach role will be embedded within the service transformation team to support the transition from traditional project management to an Agile, product-oriented mindset. The coach will work closely with all team members, including the Portfolio Manager, Product Managers (Senior Business Consultants), Business Analysts, and project support roles, to foster an Agile culture, implement best practices, and ensure successful adoption of Agile methodologies across product teams.
Role Description :
The Agile Coach will serve as a guide and mentor, helping the team embrace Agile principles, particularly in the development and delivery of high-quality products and services for the Vital Events portfolio. The coach will focus on improving team collaboration, efficiency, and responsiveness to change, helping transition the team from a project-based mindset to a product-oriented, iterative development approach. The coach will work with both leadership and team members to help implement Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum or Kanban), establish clear processes for backlog management, user story creation, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Additionally, the coach will focus on instilling a culture of continuous improvement and alignment with user-centric product development.
Key Deliverables :
- Agile Maturity Assessment and Roadmap : Conduct an initial assessment of the teams Agile maturity and provide a roadmap for transition, including milestones and key performance indicators for progress tracking.
- Agile Training and Workshops : Deliver customized training sessions and workshops to equip the team with Agile practices like backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and how to effectively use Agile tools.
- Process Implementation Support : Guide the team in setting up processes for sprint planning, user story writing, and backlog management, ensuring that Agile ceremonies (standups, retrospectives, etc.) are effectively executed.
- One-on-One Coaching : Provide hands-on coaching to key roles, including Product Managers and Business Analysts, to refine their understanding of Agile principles, product vision alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Performance Metrics : Establish a system for tracking Agile metrics, such as velocity, cycle time, and team throughput, to monitor progress and performance improvements.
- Sustaining Agile Practices : Develop a framework for sustaining Agile practices post-engagement by training internal staff in Agile leadership and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
This role will help build a foundation for long-term Agile success within the service transformation team, enabling them to deliver products more efficiently, align more closely with user needs, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Must Haves :
Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
Knowledgeable and experience in educating others in Agile methodology
Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black / Green / Yellow Belt, etc.
Strong communication skills and professional background from OPS / Regulated environment.
