Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented IT Project Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will:

-Be well versed in communicating updates in a timely & efficient manner
-Adept at interacting with different levels (from analysts to Senior management) in the organization as well as with different audiences.
-Possess a very strong balance between IT Technical Skills and PM/Leadership skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Program Manager of the Corporate Projects department, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned project(s). Currently the expectation is for this candidate to work in support of Asset Analytics and ETL projects (SAP – Cornerstone Phase 3 Enhancements). However, other projects will likely be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

-10+ years of technical experience in an IT environment.

-5+ years of project management experience in the areas of infrastructure, applications, integration with an emphasis on ERP and SAP deployment, enhancement and maintenance.

-Deep understanding of the Project Management Institute methodology and experiences with references where it was applied.

-Preparation and delivery of project status reports to project sponsors.

-Able to create requirements documents; RFP documents; develop business cases; develop Statements of Work and maintain responsibility for the financial deliverables of multiple concurrent initiatives.

-Strong leadership, teambuilding, facilitation skills, and organization skills.

-Problem Solving Skills: PMO will act as the escalation point for any of the projects in the overall portfolio. The successful candidates will need to arbitrate and present workable solutions to ensure project success.

-Demonstrated ability to work with the technical resources at the detailed activities and summarize / explain solutions to senior executives.

-10 years experience of strong relationship & vendor management skills.

-Demonstrated ability to build and strengthen relationships with sponsors, line of business stakeholders and delivery partners.

-Experience with multiple concurrent budgets exceeding $5M.

-Experience in leading, negotiating with, managing and coordinating Lines of Business.

-Experience reporting to and working with large and diverse Steering Committees in a large corporation.

-Able to work with the technical resources at the detailed activities and summarize / explain solutions to senior executives.

-Knowledge of Hydro One IT delivery, financial management processes, procurement and supplier contracting processes is preferred.
