Our client is looking for a dynamic Project Manager who would be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of IT-OT Utilities Systems upgrades and enhancements, including the implementation
of the DMS systems.
The role requires experience in managing Utility IT-OT projects and familiarity with Distribution Management Systems (DMS), network management software, and utility electrical distribution network models.
Work location : Downtown Toronto

Responsibilities
Reviewing, Testing and Documentation
Responsible for Leading the delivery of IT-OT Projects on time within budget and scope.
Responsible for preparing project planning, develop project plan and tracking progress of project tasks with strong understanding of SDLC for IT-OT Technology systems for Utility grid operations.
Responsible for managing the system upgrade / enhancements projects to work on cutting edge technology and enterprise scale IT-OT System for Distribution Grid Operations.
Coordinate, scheduling workshops with IT and Business Team for gathering project requirements, design evaluations, implementation / testing plan and go-live activities of the projects.
Coordinate and responsible for managing Project resources, cross functional internal resources, third party vendors / parties for the flawless execution of the projects.
Responsible for managing IT and Business stakeholders, performing Risk and Opportunity evaluation during the project life cycle, proactive informing stakeholders about the risk and mitigation plan for the projects.
Support IT Team for preparing business case, estimation of project scope / budget / timeline and strategic planning for IT Road map.
Support PM Lead / Portfolio Manager for resource planning and allocations, forecasting / tracking project progress on budget / scope / timeline, preparing monthly / quarterly senior management reports, organizing the release plan for the year.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering / Computer Science and PMP.
- Experience in working with Electrical Utilities Operational Technology software is an asset.
- Experience for managing multiple projects.
- Experience in working on any Distribution Management System software tool is an asset.
- Knowledge of Computer skills MS Project, Outlook, MS Office / MS Visio, PDF.
- Experience in Project management or client-facing consulting is an asset.
- Strong ability to taking ownership for the projects.
- Self-motivated and quick learner.
