Lifeguard/Instructor and Assistant Lifeguard - Casual Positions

Purpose of the position

The position will (but not limited to):

• Support aquatic services to deliver quality programs, services and ensure user’s safety and enjoyment.
• Perform duties of lifeguard and instructor.
• Assist with providing quality customer experiences.
• Create fun and educational learning experiences.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following qualifications:

• Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certificate
• Standard First Aid/CPR Level C/AED Certificate
• Swim for Life Instructor Certificate
• Experience working in an aquatic facility setting (swim club, other water sports, etc.
• Lifesaving Society Advanced Instructor is an asset
• Experience teaching swimming lessons is an asset
• Certified Pool Operator is an asset
• Work well in a team environment
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Have strong lifeguarding and instructional skills
• Be well-developed in problem solving, communication skills and public relations skills

Position details

• Wage: to hourly
• Casual position - as required basis.
• Hours: Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays), shift work and split shifts as Aquatics requires
• Casuals receive an all access pass to the Bold Centre Multiplex and Pool
