Description

:

Why this role matters

At TD Business Banking, our goal is simple and ambitious: to become Canada’s #1 Business Bank. We do this by empowering small businesses and the communities they serve—one conversation at a time.

As a Team Manager, Business Banking Specialists, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role, developing a high‑performing team that delivers confident, needs‑based advice to small business customers across Canada. If you’re passionate about people leadership, coaching, and creating exceptional customer experiences in a fast‑paced, phone‑based environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What you’ll do

As a people leader and partner, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Business Banking Specialists (BBS), creating an inclusive, performance‑driven, and customer‑centric culture

  • Coach and develop your team through regular feedback, skill‑building, and advice‑giving strategies to strengthen customer conversations

  • Support customers and specialists by resolving escalations, providing guidance on complex situations, and ensuring issues are handled effectively

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including new business account openings, account maintenance, signing authority changes, and simple credit requests

  • Ensure quality and compliance, confirming documentation is accurate and aligned with customer and business intent

  • Partner collaboratively with AMSB/RAMSB colleagues to deliver holistic solutions that meet customers’ evolving needs

  • Drive adoption of digital and direct‑to‑customer channels, supporting TD’s transformation in business banking delivery

  • Track and communicate performance, sharing regular updates on productivity, cross‑sell, FTR, LEI, and other key metrics with senior leadership

  • Build future leaders through recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and career development conversations

What you bring

We’re looking for a confident leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings both business acumen and people‑first leadership:

  • 5+ years of experience in a direct‑to‑customer or phone‑based banking environment

  • Strong knowledge of Small Business Banking products and services

  • Proven leadership or coaching experience, with a passion for developing others (formal people management experience is an asset)

  • Undergraduate degree (required)

  • Comfort with banking systems and tools, such as HOST, C3, Admin Apps, iCAL (or similar platforms)

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills

  • A self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently while leading through influence

What we offer

  • A leadership role with real impact on customers, colleagues, and communities

  • Opportunities for career growth and leadership development within TD

  • Exposure to strategic transformation initiatives in Business Banking

  • A collaborative, supportive environment that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning
