We currently have a role as a Senior Middleware Admin - Investment Banking with our large consulting client on a long term project with a major investment bank in the downtown Montreal area.
Role: Senior Middleware Admin - Investment Banking
Type: Permanent or Contract 37.5 hrs/week
Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home)
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 + 9% bonus + 3-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP matching + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks
Position Overview
Support and manage middleware technologies within the global Middleware group.
Work closely with Middleware Administrators in Montreal, the US, and Paris to manage middleware located in Canada and the US.
Participate in the on‑call rotation, providing off‑hours and weekend production support.
Provide follow‑the‑sun on‑call support to systems in Paris and Asia.
Administer and support IBM Sterling technologies (Connect Enterprise, Connect Express, Connect Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, etc.).
Support relevant protocols including:
- FTP, SFTP
- PeSIT
- Connect:Direct (C:D)
- FTP/SSL
- Provide advice and best practices to internal clients (GTS, ITEC, etc.).
- Help implement and update team standards (installation, best practices, procedures).
- Contribute to API Factory initiatives for provisioning and automation of the file transfer platform.
- Implement and maintain consistent processes, methods, and procedures for all file transfer activities.
- Recommend software and hardware upgrade paths.
Requirements
- 5+ years of middleware administration experience
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Experience with IBM MQ is the target but someone who has worked with RABBITMQ could fulfill this role

- Proficiency in French and English (written and/or oral) is ideal but not mandatory
