Job Description :
Our client, a well-established real estate company in Ottawa is looking for a Financial Accountant.
Reporting into the Controller, this position will be responsible for :
- Complete monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and GL’s
- Assist with creation and monitoring of corporate and operating budgets
- Process and reconcile construction draws, progress billings, and retention payments
- Track project budgets, commitments, change orders, and actual costs
- Work closely with project managers and cross functional teams spanning across the entire organization
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
- Assist with the overview of accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely billing and receipts
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
