Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Our Accounting Office is looking for an Analyst Accounts Payable to develop implement and monitor Key Performance indicators; to provide input into accounts payable policies and procedures ensuring compliance with those policies and procedures; and to support the Accounts Payable systems.

What will I be doing

• Under general supervision expressed in terms of objectives priorities and deadlines supports the delivery of the corporate Accounts Payable activities in a timely manner to meet corporate KPIs.
• Ensures overall compliance with Metrolinx procedures policies legislation / regulations collective agreements etc. defers to management to address any issues of non-compliance for guidance and direction.
• Participates in the evaluation and testing of AP system technology products and makes recommendations; develops and test all AP system changes and related system interfaces.
• Monitor the invoice hold exception process and ensures timely resolution.
• Monitors the Corporate KPIs and AP teams performances and escalates to Assistant Manager any issues for process improvements. Reports on day-to-day transaction processing as it relates to and is tied to production KPIs.
• Ensures payment runs audits and validations are complete.
• Prepares and updates documentation on AP procedures and processes as required to document processes and SOPs.
• Supports business units and the vendor community to resolve problems and exchange information.
• Provides input into accounts payable policies and processes to ensure that adequate AP systems procedures and controls are in place.
