About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for driving accurate financials and effective cost management by owning the AP cycle, understanding company operations, and contributing meaningfully with a strong sense of purpose and belonging.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and revalue foreign currency accounts.
- Process and record Accounts Receivable transactions efficiently.
- Import large data sets into QuickBooks using SaasAnt for streamlined data entry.
- Understand operational and trust procedures to meet travel industry regulations.
- Apply brand-specific accounting procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end closing and support project-related analyses.
- Provide financial and administrative support as needed for the team.
- Full Accounts Payable Management :
Set up and maintain vendor accounts, including contact info, terms, and tax details.
The First 90 Days
By the end of the first 90 days, the Accounting Clerk should have a solid understanding of the company and its operations. They will have taken on month-end tasks and confidently deliver based on set deadlines.
Orientation and Onboarding – Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company"s mission, vision, and values. Developing a solid understanding of the three operating brands, including their unique functionalities and processes, to ensure accurate and tailored accounting practices.
Position Training and Development – Achieve a strong grasp of trust and operational procedures, progressing toward mastery to meet travel industry regulations. Independently completing month-end tasks efficiently and on time.
