The role : We have an immediate opening for an  Accounting Assistant  in Richmond, BC, to join our accounting team.

This entry-level position is ideal for those wanting to grow their career and work toward a CPA designation.

We provide a supportive and forward-thinking work environment that offers competitive benefits, professional development, and opportunities for advancement.  Main responsibilities : A / P and credit card reconciliation and data entries.

Subledger and G / L analysis, investigating and resolving discrepancies in records.

Communicating with vendors on billing matters.

Match purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving reports.

Qualifications :      A degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent experience is an asset.

1-2 years experience in general accounting areas, such as A / P, G / L analysis, bank reconciliation, or related (not essential but would be an asset).

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.  Good MS Excel skills.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Ability to stay organized and solve problems while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and productivity under pressure.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.  Able to work overtime when required to complete work within given deadlines.

Fast learner who is open to feedback and direct communication style of leadership.  Accounting software and ERP experience is preferred but not required.

Salary :   $45,000 to $55,000 per year (negotiable based on your experience, qualifications, and internal equity).
