Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Accountant to support our client with full-cycle accounting across multiple operating and property entities based in Vaughan, ON. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on, evolving environment. This role partners closely with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with business performance.
  • Pay Rate: $80,000 - $100,000/year (based on experience)
  • Location: Vaughan, ON
  • Schedule: In office
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple operating and property companies.
  • Prepare financial statements, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end audit support.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Manage lease accounting, fixed asset registers, and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Produce accurate financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights for leadership.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure consistent application of accounting standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
  • Liaise with external auditors, lenders, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations to align financial processes with club activities, facilities, and overall business performance.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation required.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting, ideally in real estate, hospitality, recreation, or multi-entity environments.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, lease accounting, and financial controls.
  • High attention to detail with strong technical accounting proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
