LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst for a 3-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks
- Prepares and deliver high-level reports and presentations to executives and outside stakeholders
- Acts as project manager
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand and document project scope and timelines
- Create Project governance documentation
- Interface with senior management to prioritize key tasks
- Status reporting twice per month
- Analyzes and documents business processes and workflows
- Partners with business users to fully understand and document requirements
- Conducts interviews with key project stakeholders
- Assists business users and IT leadership in optimizing scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects
- Manages expectations of users and management
- Develops use cases and UML diagrams to define functional software needs and user roles
- Creates and / or reviews manuals, procedures, and related user documentation; adapts documentation to the appropriate audiences
- Conducts and / or facilitate presentations and process review sessions
Key Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as business analyst and project management
- Strong project management skills which include developing project plans, timeline, milestones, maintenance of RAID logs
- Strong business analysis skills for requirement gathering, analyzes and documents business processes and workflows
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of project management theory and practice
- Strong interviewing and listening skills to elicit detailed business requirements
- Advanced knowledge of BA concepts and methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of UML diagrams like use cases, state diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, etc.
- Knowledge of design mock-ups / User Interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of gap analysis
- Advanced knowledge of the software design and development life cycle in agile, iterative and waterfall environments
- Advanced knowledge of the principles of software development and of current software development methodologies
