We're looking for a Warehouse Manager to work in Montreal for a - Food Manufacturing company thats going through hyper growth.
This is for one of the top employers in Canada who have created quite the name for themselves due to high volume of applications only those who meet the criteria below will be contacted.

Candidates MUST have : Food Manufacturing Warehouse exp, good with operations (excel), has managed 4-6 ppl, can own the ERP / WMS system, run and built a successful warehouse management operation (systems, process, hiring, taking from manuel to automated, inventory, shipping, quality, safety and much more) - the warehouse is 10,000sqft.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager with a background in the food manufacturing industry to join our team.
This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and maintaining our commitment to food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities :
Inventory Management :
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of food products.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock rotation (FIFO)
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
Compliance and Safety :
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, and local regulations).
- Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain proper temperature controls and storage conditions to preserve food quality.
Logistics and Distribution :
- Coordinate with suppliers and distributors for timely delivery and dispatch of food products.
- Manage logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Staff Management :
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Address and resolve staff performance or conduct issues promptly.
Process Improvement :
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations.
Quality Control :
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Handle issues related to damaged or spoiled goods, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other warehouse activities.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on warehouse performance and metrics.
Cost Management :
- Manage the warehouse budget, aiming to reduce operational costs without compromising quality and safety.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Customer Service :
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in warehouse management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of working in a scrappy start-up or midsized CPG / Food company
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, FDA, etc.).
- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Compensation :
- 85K-100K depending on the person's experience
