Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

7+ years of relevant software development experience in embedded systems.

Experience with CI / CD technologies.

Hands-on experience with observability tools, particularly Fluent Bit and OpenTelemetry.

Experience in software test automation (Linux / Unix shell scripting, Python, JUnit, GTest).

Experience in software containerization (Docker and Kubernetes).

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience developing in Android, Linux, and / or QNX.

Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure).

Knowledge of telecommunication networks and security.

Experience with edge computing, cloud services, and IoT technologies.

Familiarity with Service Oriented Architectures and Microservice principles.

Knowledge of major automotive vehicle systems.

Demonstrated ability to ensure the reliability of data transmission in distributed systems.

Compensation

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable provincial laws.

The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, or Nova Scotia.

The salary range for this role is CAD 119,900 - 179,900.

The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
