Position Summary : Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and performance of construction projects.
The Project Coordinator assists the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in project administration and field work, communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
The incumbent will also assist with maintaining updated construction schedules and as-built drawings, photo records of performed work, documenting contract change orders, and Health and Safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Under the guidance and direction of Project Manager and Superintendent, learn and adhere to Castle Rock processes and contract administration procedures.
- Analyze specifications and construction drawings and assist in the completion of construction plans, schedules, utility locates, material quantity takeoffs, material purchasing, and subcontract / vendor management.
- Monitor work on site to ensure compliance with contract specifications and building code.
- Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day contract administration.
- Perform analysis of owner / engineer and subcontractor change requests to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications, highlighting out of scope work that requires additional billing.
- Attend internal coordination and project meetings.
- Coordinate and complete project photograph record.
- Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Project Manager or Senior Management.
Requirements :
- Completion of a post-secondary education program in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English, with the ability to undertake moderately complex technical correspondence and conversations, as well as to provide clear direction to project team members.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts, ensuring any additional work outside of project scope is identified.
- Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
