The Role
Reporting to the Principal or Chief Metallurgist you will be primarily responsible for developing process engineering strategy related to process simulation modelling and building process models of existing Cameco operating sites.
You will also execute process engineering deliverables for capital projects and operational support for Cameco operating sites as required.
In this role, you will :
- Create and update process models for existing Cameco operating sites.
- Develop strategy and documentation for use and maintenance of process models in Technical Services engineering process.
- Act as project process engineering lead executing on capital project process engineering and operational support deliverables
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, metallurgical, mineral processing, or related engineering field
- Experience with process modelling software, preferably SysCAD
- Seven to twelve years of experience in chemical processes with preference to hydrometallurgical and mine / mill effluent treatment systems.
- Effective communication and analytical skills
- High regard and positive attitude towards safety
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Recommended :
Experience with AVEVA PI System or related data analytics and visualization tools
