Senior Civil Engineering Technician / Technologist

King EPCM is looking to fill two (2) full-time civil-engineering related field technician position. This position is for an experienced civil engineering technologist or technologist (C.

Tech or C.E.T as per OACETT) to independently conduct site visits, conduct topographic surveys, create civil engineering drawings, and write professional reports.

Under the direct guidance of the Principal Engineer, the Field Engineering Technician / Technologist is expected to independently complete projects related to their field of expertise.

Site locations are generally GTA area, with sporadic visits required to other areas in Southern Ontario.

King EPCM is offering base salary at $30 $40 per hour, plus various health benefits.

Responsibilities

• Drive pick-up trucks while towing a small trailer
• Loading & unloading materials to pick-up truck bed & at job site
• Operate mechanized hand tools or other inspection tools
• Conduct topographic surveys, using GPS and total station
• Conduct concrete testing, as per ACI credentials (Company will give training)
• Conduct general inspections & testing of different aspects of civil and chemical environmental engineering
• Write and convey inspection results to other team members

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience of C. Tech or CET work experience in Canada
• Must be physically fit to conduct field-visits and operate heavy mechanized hand tools
• Must have successful C. Tech or CET designation from OACETT
• Must have valid G driver’s license and personal vehicle, willing to travel to project site with either personal vehicle or on company vehicle
• Show demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tasks and inspection methods
• Computer drafting experiences (AutoCAD)
• Fully fluent in English language, with ability to write clear and concise inspection reports
