We are currently looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our team in Montreal.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Researching and preparing technical positions for complex Canadian indirect tax matters
- Advise clients regarding their registrations and de-registrations, their review of invoicing requirements, the development or review of their indirect tax structures and the analysis of the impact of indirect taxes on special transactions;
- Representing clients with tax authorities (audits, appeals, voluntary disclosures, interpretation requests, collection measures settlements, etc.)
- Helping perform review or recovery engagements
- Due diligence reviews and assistance with post-merger integration
- Quickly identifying and reporting on client tax compliance opportunities or issues
- Taking part in business development pursuits
- Overseeing and reviewing Indirect Tax compliance for clients
- Monitoring of legislative updates and preparation of summaries of firm members and clients
- Providing tailored mentoring and training in accordance with clients' needs
What you need to succeed :
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Canadian Indirect Tax
- Enrolled or having completed the Master of Taxation program or CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Courses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English and in French
- Ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relations and focus on employee engagement
- Ability to work in a team and within budget
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
