Our client, a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) company, is seeking a highly skilled Design Project Manager to join their team in Burnaby, BC.

Key Responsibilities :
- Direct, monitor, and report on all aspects of the design team’s operations.
- Ensure all company standards and codes are implemented and client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Provide workload forecasting and progress analysis for new and prospective projects.
- Recommend work distribution based on staff availability and team workload requirements.
- Prepare and develop Schematic Design and Design Development reports and drawings.
- Assign tasks to junior staff and ensure satisfactory completion through review.
- Represent the company at meetings with project clients and other stakeholders.
- Assure adequate field review services to ensure adherence to contract documents.
- Implement programs to improve the quality of services and systems to meet client requirements.
- Train staff in all phases of the design process for continuity during absences.
- Manage small to medium projects with minimal supervision.
- Develop and administer procedures and systems for team management.
- Stay updated on new developments in relevant codes and innovative design.
- Participate in seminars, professional associations, and relevant trade shows / events.
- Participate in hiring, promotion recommendations, and performance monitoring.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
- 5+ years of design experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection.
- 2+ years of project management experience in a consulting engineering environment.
- Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Projects.
