Position Overview :
The General Manager will oversee all regional operations from the Edmonton office, with full responsibility for the management team, safety, and operations.
This role places a strong emphasis on business development to expand the company’s footprint in the Western Canadian market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet sales targets and company objectives.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to grow the customer base and enhance market share.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular business reviews to align customer needs with company offerings.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast future sales and growth opportunities.
- Safety
- Foster a safety-first culture across the organization, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and best practices.
- Business Leadership
- Lead efforts to achieve profitable growth and meet annual targets within the region.
- Oversee the setting and attainment of annual regional objectives.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement to boost productivity, asset utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Operations
- Manage operational processes, emphasizing efficiency and strategic resource allocation.
- Regular travel within Western Canada is required.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role, ideally with a background in business development.
- Proven record of meeting sales targets and driving growth in the oil and gas or related industries.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, customer focus, and a proactive approach.
- Excellent customer service and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively.
- Proficient in CRM software and MS Teams suite.
Compensation :
- Base Salary : $100- $125K (Commensurate upon experience).
