We are looking for an experienced Electrical CNC Electrician for our client located in Barrie. They are into the business of Welding.

Responsibilities :

• Routine repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems including CNC controlled lathes and mills, fabrication equipment, etc.
• Retrofit of CNC machine tools including mills, lathes, and multi-axis mill / turns.
• Familiarity with CNC controls (Heidenhain, Haas, Fanuc and Fagor amongst others).
• Electrical installation of new equipment including power drops, panel builds, coordinating with
• ESA, upgrading equipment manufactured to foreign electrical standards, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code along with related schematics and symbols.
• Experience with servo motors and controls, frequency drives, sensors, AC and DC motors, etc. and how they relate to electrical systems.
• Understanding of PLCs and basic programming skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical principles such as pneumatics and hydraulics and troubleshooting those systems.
• Strong trouble shooting ability for CNC equipment, able to trace issues back to cause-and-effect repairs.

Requirements :

• PLC - an asset (preferred)
• Journeyman Electrician, an asset (preferred)
• Comfortable with the use of computers and software to assist with daily activities.
• Team based mentality and able to assist with training apprentices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail.

License / Certification :

309 or 442a License (preferred)

Location : Barrie

Shift : Day shift

Pay Rate : $ 35.34 / hr. to $45.28 / hr. (depending upon experience)
