Working under the direction of the Operation Manager in conjunction with the Project Managers, provide administrative support to this function : create quotations, work orders, invoices, and deal with issues related to the execution of work at job sites.
Plan and coordinate the activities of subcontractors at various locations across Canada. Monitor the progress of work, ensuring timely completion.
Where required, work directly with the customer to determine his / her requirements. Upon completion of the work arrange for all final documentation, issue invoices, and follow-up regarding collection.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within an electrical and / or communications environment.
- Must have excellent experience with the formation and administration of contracts.
- Must have a deep understanding / knowledge of computer databases and prepare written documentation for submission to customers.
- Requires experience working with computer network cabling and hardware associated with the electrical / communications contracting industry.
- Ability to understand, read, and interpret building construction and blueprint.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent with equivalent or relevant experience : design, project management, data or voice communications drafting.
- Requires pleasant personality with a positive attitude - and the ability to remain calm when encountering difficult customer-related situations.
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to act on own initiative and take action to solve problems within the limits of the function.
- Requires the ability to write informative documents (letters, proposals, e-mails).
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must be a team player.
