Responsibilities

In this General Accountant role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following :

• Assist in the preparation and review of month-end financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including but not limited to bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial data and supporting documentation for month-end close.
• Assist in the analysis of financial results, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and post journal entries to accurately record financial transactions and adjustments.
• Assist with inventory accounting processes, including valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes, controls, and procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for the following for this General Accountant role located in Mississauga :

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
• A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
• Experience working with MS Dynamics is a requirement.
• Strong reconciliation experience is a requirement.
