The HRG acts as a strategic business partner and works with senior leadership to support their designated core clients which includes : district management, store management and retail store employees.
The HRG will join an HR team focused on making a positive impact on the business and our people through creating and developing process improvements, project implementation, and offering creative talent solutions.

Responsibilities
- Partner with sales managers to develop and maintain positive employee relations, an engaged workforce and to implement new and innovative HR solutions
- Provide human resource advice and consultation to retail employees and management on all HR related matters
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment standards, human rights, privacy legislation and employment equity
- Drive diversity, wellness, people analytics, and employee engagement initiatives
- Deliver HR training and sharing of best practices
- Work closely with the Director, Human Resources on research, development and management of the performance review process
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Act as a lead in the continuous development, delivery and success of the focused training, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Perform other related duties
Qualifications
- Three to five years of generalist experience in human resources management
- Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development or related program of study Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Specialized training in employment law, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, leadership and proactive employment relations is considered an asset
- Certification in HR preferred
- Knowledge of provincial employment laws and practices on a national level
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- High level of confidentiality and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills
