You will be responsible for overseeing the project team and surveying requirements. Challenging industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge, You will ensure the precise layout from digital design files using advanced measuring tools.
Additonally, you will mentor more junior surveyors to ensure project excellence through your outstanding leadership. What you will do : Oversee Surveying requirements on multiple projects.
Develop, train, and mentor more junior Surveyors. Setup and operate total station GPS instruments for layout and as-built capture of roads, bridges, utilities, etc.
Create grade sheets and as-built construction reports. Collect, organize, and record measurements and other data to help prepare drawings, charts, plans, maps, and other documents.
Perform quality control for survey work. Accurately calculate layout from digital design files. Perform construction layout and quantity surveys.
Generate and maintain drawings by tracking and capturing as-built data. Coordinate with the project team and maintain site benchmarks.
- What you will bring : Minimum 8 years of construction surveying experience in civil / infrastructure construction projects;
- The ability to interpret and use information from maps, drawings and measurements taken in the field; Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction engineering or related discipline;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently on multiple projects;
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, are required to be successful in this role; Adaptable and willing to work varying hours as the job demands;
