About this role

We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects team at our Burnaby office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

If you love being part of building some of the most meaningful and needed Hospital projects in British Columbia then this is the position for you! Come be part of the team building large complex multi-year healthcare facilities for our communities!

You will be in a leadership role on a team of up to 250 people pursuing, designing, planning, and executing Electrical and Technology project scopes.

This role is best suited for those with skills in project management, leadership and design of electrical and technology systems.

Your responsibilities

• Assist / Lead the pursuit of large design build major projects
• Control the time, cost and quality of construction projects
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
• Manage project financial performance
• Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review the project documents and discuss labour requirements and staffing

Your experience and skills

• Minimum 7 years of previous project management experience in a related industry
• Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out
• High school Diploma & Electrical TQ or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
• Training or Courses in Project Management
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project
• Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law
• Ability to create a detailed project schedule
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer's needs
• PMP Certification, an asset

Salary range : $115,000-$140,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
