Shipper Receiver

Shipper - Receiver (Mississauga location, $20 to $21 per hour, full-time position, full benefits)

Primary Responsibilities and Duties :

• Work hand in hand with belting technicians’ team to ship product off the belt shop
• Receive products from vendors as they are delivered, including the verification of the number of items received as well as assuring that it is the correct product ordered.
• Load / unload trucks, check delivery slips and BOL’s to confirm correct product and count
• Request help from licensed team members able to use the forklift to move products & pallets, and ensuring products that requires storage are placed in the appropriate areas
• Inspect freight for damages and report if any are found
• Generate delivery slips and BOL’s either electronically or manually
• Help with production team to organize the floor and inventory, put stock away accordingly
• Keep the dock neat and tidy
• Organize, review, and check orders using the dedicated computer system
• Entering orders received and shipped in the computer system
• Record detailed shipping / receiving documentation
• Service customers, receive shipments from suppliers, provide information to delivery drivers
• Organize delivery schedule and instruct delivery drivers accordingly
• Picking and shipping all orders that are to be completed and shipped from the shop daily
• Ensure that the standards are met as it pertains to proper inspection, packaging of products received and shipped
• Tracking shipments and sending out confirmation of tracking numbers to customers.
• Participating in cycle / physical counts & inventory operations as required.
• Timing belt cutting (machine), as required
• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S
• Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed
• Comply with all company procedures and safety practices
• Attend prescribed courses and training as required
• Other duties as required by the Management.

Knowledge & Skills Requirement :

• Prior experience in Shipping-Receiving is required
• Background of Supply Chain or Manufacturing Industry is an asset.
• Prior experience with Forklift is an asset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
• Proficiency with MS office, internet solutions, computerized systems - software or ERP
• Regularly required to stand; walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent attendance
• Good hand / eye coordination
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to push / pull up to 35 pounds
• Able to work over-time and weekend shifts if required

Salary & Conditions :

• Job Location : Ammega Canada Inc., 265 Export Boulevard, Mississauga, ON
• Salary : from 20 $ per hour to 21 $ per hour - depending on profile and experience
• Days of work : Monday to Friday - Permanent Full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Shift : Morning shift only (no night or afternoon shift) - 9 am to 5.30 pm.
• This is NOT a rotating shift work
• This position belongs to IRCC skill level C with NOC 2016 C code 1521 and NOC 2021 code 14400 TEER 4
• For the hiring you will need to provide valid photo ID, SIN number, banking details Company will conduct criminal background check as part of onboarding
