Pinchin is looking for a Mechanical / Plumbing Design Technologist to join our Richmond office.

The Project Technologist will support our design team with HVAC and Plumbing system design for Pinchin’s industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

This position is ideal for anyone who enjoys working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.

What You’ll Do at Pinchin :

• HVAC and Plumbing drafting in AutoCAD
• Maintain and record AutoCAD design files
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations
• Review and process shop drawings
• Prepare technical reports and specifications as required
• Write various reports (i.e. Site Instructions) as directed
• Support team members with site visits

What you bring to the Pinchin Team :

• College / technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering, specifically related to HVAC, or Plumbing
• 5 years+ of industry experience
• Proficient operating knowledge of AutoCAD is required as well as specific building services drafting experience in HVAC and plumbing
• Knowledge of energy modeling in IES or Trane Trace is preferred
• A working knowledge of the BC building and plumbing code
• Operating knowledge of Revit is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products
• Vehicle and a valid driver’s license required
• Able to work well in a team environment
• High level of English verbal and written communication skills
