Overview : Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance in mortgage lending?
UW Credit Union is seeking a Director of Mortgage Operations to join our dynamic team in Madison, WI. Reporting to the VP of Mortgage Lending, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of first mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, shipping, and funding functions.
Your primary focus will be on providing strong leadership and coaching to our operations staff, ensuring daily volume and quality standards are met, and recommending new methods and procedures to enhance efficiency and support our financial and member service objectives.
In addition, you will also be responsible for building strong cross-functional partnerships within the Mortgage division and strong business partnerships with other areas of the organization.

Responsibilities :
Manage Mortgage Loan Operations - 45% : Establish work priorities to facilitate achievement of UW Credit Union mortgage loan volume goals.
Responsible for meeting daily volume and quality standards for each position set by management.
- Maintain established department service levels for turn time for underwriting, closing packages, funding, and shipping of files.
- Maintain the Credit Union's eligibility as a seller in the secondary mortgage market as well as approving loans.
