EASTBROOK ELEMENTARY is hiring! We are seeking applicants the role, of Learning Support Teacher (LST) to join our team of dedicated educators.
Success in this role will require a specific set of knowledge skills and abilities to support complex learners at Eastbrook Elementary.
We are a proudly diverse and inclusive school. Our educators are passionate, and serve approximately 465 students, ranging from kindergarten to grade 6.
Our students are from families in our local community, as well as world locations, making our school a rich environment of different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
LST’s act as a support and resource for teachers . This role assists with the implementation of school-wide comprehensive learning support programing.
Working with our multidisciplinary teams of professionals, including Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Consultants, Psychologists, and agencies from other ministries is an integral part of this role.
The educator we are seeking must have an excellent understanding of school-based and divisional continuums of supports and services, expertise in intervention / collaborative response models, case coordination and management, Level B testing, and Individual Program Planning coordination.
Experience with early learning, literacy and numeracy are assets. This role directly influences learners to develop in a way that will assist with building confidence, forming, and growing friendships, expressing oneself, developing interests.

Education and Certifications : Bachelor of Education pre-service teacher preparation program from an approved institution Valid Alberta Teaching Certification Considered an asset but not a requirement : Master’s degree in education or special education, experience, education, or training in working with students who have complex needs.
