As we continue to build our FP&A team, we have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the SFA contributes to all functions relating to financial planning and analysis and business intelligence.
The position is responsible for preparing financial models required for the forecasting and budgeting cycle along with day-to-day business intelligence, key performance indicator, and data analysis.
The Senior Financial Analyst also provides ongoing recommendations for improvements in operational efficiencies, financial models, and reporting processes along with participating in regular management meetings with the Leadership Team to discuss financial results.
Technical excellence, superb communication skills, collegiality, proactive orientation, and meticulous attention to detail are key requirements for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- In collaboration with the Head of Finance, lead the annual budget process across all assigned departments and subsidiaries, including the planning, preparation, and consolidation of the underlying financial models
- Lead the forecasting process on a monthly basis to adjust the budget based on actual performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and proactively improve financial models to enhance and streamline existing processes to compile, analyze and report on monthly financial results
- Prepare monthly variance analysis and communication, as well as respond to ad hoc requests and inquiries
- Assist with financial modelling needs for special projects, acquisitions, or financings as required
- Identify, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators and communicate in a timely way to stakeholders
- Assist in analyzing data for internal operations, market research, and external reporting, and communicate with stakeholders
- Assist in creating and maintaining financial models and evaluating business plans for various corporate initiatives
- Support the Leadership Team and the business units with accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision-making purposes
- Provide ad hoc reports and financial analyses for management as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience
- A bachelors' degree in commerce or related degree in finance, plus a professional finance or accounting designation (ex. CFA or CPA)
- Media, technology, and broadcast industry knowledge is an asset
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) along with operational knowledge of ERP and CRM software (SAP and Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Proven ability to support business units to build KPI reports, dashboards and other management reports
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and process-driven
- Exhibit a high sense of urgency and display professionalism and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with all levels of management

Senior Data & Financial Process Analyst
- Lead the annual budget process across all departments and subsidiaries, including the

- Identify, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators and communicate timely to
- stakeholders through various financial reports;
- Assist in analyzing data for internal operations, market research, and external reporting,
- and communicate timely to stakeholders;
- Assist the Accounting Team with preparing monthly variance analysis and communication, as well as respond to ad hoc requests and inquiries;
- Assist in creating and maintaining financial models and evaluating business plans for various corporate initiatives;
- Support the Leadership Team and their departments with accurate and timely financial
- recommendations for decision making purposes;
- Provide ad hoc reports and financial analyses for management as required; and Assist with special projects as required.
- Data and Financial Process
- Liaise between IT, FP&A, accounting and BI on system related issues and request
- Assist in defining, modelling and mapping new planning and consolidations tool and
reports to be consumed by the team as required
- Support in system administration, maintenance, hierarchies, end user documentation and
- data for overall finance organization throughout RHEI's Finance initiatives;
- Primary point of contact for end user support of new tools within planning, forecasting
- and reporting;
- Assist in defining key requirements for financial data model, budgeting and forecasting
design.
