Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate for our Transportation team based in our Markham, ON office.
This is a full time role expected to begin in 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
- Prepares roadway designs, calculations, quantities, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Prepares meeting minutes and correspondence under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager
- Assists in the day-to-day project coordination activities
- Collects and analyzes data
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
- Performs work in accordance with project budgets and schedules
- Performs work in accordance with established quality control processes
- The selected individual would be working in the Transportation BL on municipal road projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Must have completed or will be completing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Preferred Requirements :
- Knowledge in the use of one or more of the industry-relevant software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoTURN, Civil3D and Inroads / OpenRoads)
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative, high paced, team environment
- Time management skills, prioritization of task deliverables and delivering within a deadline-orientated environment
- High Self-motivation to continuously learn while completing assigned work tasks
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and working towards professional engineering licensure (P.Eng.), with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Co-op experience is considered an asset
