Contract Administrator (Architectural) in Edmonton, AB

Adecco's client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join their architectural team as a Contracts Administrator.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual aspects of architectural projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining effective communication between stakeholders.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of architectural contracts and legal frameworks.

Contract Administrator Responsibilities Are :

Contract Management : Manage all stages of the contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and administration of architectural contracts.

Compliance : Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies throughout the contract process.

Risk Assessment : Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contractual agreements, ensuring the protection of the firm's interests.

Documentation : Maintain accurate and comprehensive contract documentation, including amendments, extensions, and correspondence.

Vendor Relations : Liaise with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Budget Oversight : Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying any discrepancies or deviations from contractual agreements.

Communication : Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, external stakeholders, and legal counsel regarding contract-related matters.

Quality Assurance : Ensure that contractual deliverables meet quality standards and specifications outlined in agreements.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract management procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Dispute Resolution : Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes, utilizing negotiation and mediation skills to reach favorable outcomes.

Contract Administrator Qualifications Are :

  • University Degree or Technical Diploma within an Architectural related field or ICI Construction experience
  • Proven experience minimum 2 years working in contract administration within the architectural or construction industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural contracts, drawings, construction law, and industry regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP are an asset.
