Food Production Worker

We are seeking motivated Food Production Labourers to join our client's dynamic team in a busy food production environment.

This role involves a variety of tasks across different rooms, with employees rotating between areas to ensure ergonomic safety.

Successful candidates must be able to adapt to varying work conditions, including both cold and hot environments. You will work in a fast-paced environment where food safety and quality are top priorities.

Position : Food Production Labourer

Shift : Day and Afternoon (varying times)

Location : Rocky View County (near Balzac)

Responsibilities

• Production Line Work : Assist in food assembly and packaging
• Work in Cold and Hot Environments : Rotate through various production areas
• Food Handling and Safety : Ensure safe handling of food products at all times, following sanitation protocols and adhering to health policies.
• PPE Use : Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hair nets, beard nets, gloves, linen clothing, aprons, arm coverings, and steel-toe boots (provided).

You may also be required to wear specific white boots in high-care areas.

• Production Line Stations : Work at various production lines to add ingredients or package finished goods. Assist in unloading ingredients, weighing and measuring spices, and working on assembly lines for finished products.
• High-Care Zone : Follow strict hygiene standards
• Vegetable and Ingredient Handling : Manually cut vegetables, unbox ingredients, and assist with food preparation in the veggie wash area.
• Ergonomic and Safety Measures : Move between different workstations to ensure a balance of tasks and minimize physical strain.

Qualifications

• Experience : Previous experience in food production, handling, or working on production lines is an asset
• Physical Ability : Ability to work in both cold (refrigerated) and warm environments and stand for extended periods.
• Safety-Conscious : Adhere to food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
• Transportation : Must be able to drive to the location in Balzac (Rocky View) as public transportation may not be available.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to follow instructions, focus on quality, and handle ingredients carefully to avoid cross-contamination.
• Health Awareness : Must be mindful of allergies, as ingredients may cause reactions in sensitive individuals.
