Our Calgary client is looking for a Senior BI Developer to gather requirements and create data models using Power BI and DAX to support a data innovation team.
Must Haves :
- 7+ years' experience as a BI Developer / Data Engineer
- 5+ years' experience using Power BI, DAX and Power Query M to build data models and visualizations
- Exposure to other Microsoft Power Platform tools
- Experience in Digital roles within Energy / Utilities business
Nice to Have :
- Experience developing, deploying and supporting Azure Analysis Services models
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) skills
- Process modeling skills
Responsibilities :
- Interview business stakeholders such as accountants, analysts, engineers to understand their business requirements and business problems
- Build up an understanding of data sources and data structures related to the business problems
- Build data models in Excel or Power BI to solve business problems
- Encourages application and business teams to leverage enterprise data assets by articulating the benefits of a modern data ecosystem
