About the Role : Manager, Property Accounting This leadership role involves managing the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for various real estate properties.
You'll supervise a team, collaborate with management, and contribute to a wide range of accounting responsibilities. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and guide a team of property accountants.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial records for various stakeholders. - Manage monthly accounting close procedures and the full cycle of accounts payable.
- Execute daily transactions, track budget variances, and coordinate budget reviews. - Provide support for financial analysis across various departments.
- Handle cash flow management and compliance filings. - Collaborate with external accountants and assist with loan financing.
- Prepare investor reports, financials, and distributions. - Contribute to the development of annual budgets. Qualifications and Experiences - Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting, with demonstrated supervisory experience preferred. - CPA, CA designation or actively enrolled in the CPA program (midway through or nearing completion) is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in French and English is a significant asset. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Experience with Yardi software is a plus. - Adaptability to work outside of core hours as needed.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead a team. - Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
