Job Purpose
The Plant Manager will oversee all critical plant functions at this 1000+ employee site, with a focus on transforming operations, implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, and building a strong, engaged workforce.
Responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing operations (production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, etc.), coordinating operational forecasts, and identifying financial risks and offsets.
This role is essential in supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Measures of Success
- Achieving significant improvements in Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Boosting employee engagement and retention, fostering a collaborative culture.
- Strengthening plant-wide social relations and a positive work environment.
- Developing a cohesive leadership team and inspiring cultural alignment.
- Creating a strategic site master plan to sustain high performance over 5 10 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead department managers in optimizing labor strategies, adapting efficiently to production changes.
- Implement policies to ensure safety, adherence to standards, and best manufacturing practices.
- Drive TPM and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing plant safety and productivity.
- Collaborate on budgeting and cost management to meet financial goals.
- Partner with HR on talent development, engagement, and cultural transformation.
- Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Support R&D in new product development, production runs, and cost optimization.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Seeking a candidate with substantial experience managing or working within a high-capacity manufacturing facility.
- Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector is ideal or similar industry.
- Extensive manufacturing experience, with a strong leadership track record.
- 15+ years in manufacturing, with 3 5 years in transformational leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in driving cultural change, leading TPM, and motivating diverse teams.
- Resilient, with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
