About this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Labour Sourcing Manager located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).

The Labour Sourcing Manager creates value for Dow by defining labour sourcing opportunities, developing and aligning labour sourcing strategies, leveraging supplier relationships, analyzing market conditions, and negotiating with suppliers and internal partners to optimize sustained value for Dow.

Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of the labour discipline and basic knowledge of related labour market disciplines.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience (Labour Sourcing Specialist and Fiel Contract Administrators).

In this role, you will require in-depth conceptual and working knowledge of labour disciplines or functional area. You will need to understand the labour discipline's best practices and how they relate to others.

You will lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements as well as serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.

You should also be able to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus with others.

It is your responsibility to analyze and resolve complex problems, examine information from multiple sources, and use judgement to evaluate established and new solutions.

Your performance impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your own team and other related teams and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities :

  • Utilizes business acumen and leverages best practices to drive value from the labour market and influence stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and / or geography
  • Uses influential leadership to elevate the performance of the workgroup.

Critical Success Factors :

  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in labour discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • Solves complex problems.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Capable to lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • Seven years of contract formation and administration experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship / support is available for this position.
